Quality Floor Inspector – Bilingual (English/Spanish) 1st Shift

A POP (Point of Purchase) Custom Design, Fabrication Co., that also does installation of fixtures, furniture and case goods for retail and hospitality businesses seeking a smart and detailed oriented individual who has worked as Quality Floor Inspector with 1+ years experiences in a manufacturing setting.

SUMMARY OF QUALITY FLOOR INSPECTOR:
To ensure all customer products are manufactured to the correct specifications through the manufacturing process and follows all specifications and requirements established by the customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Must be able to read Customer drawing, specs and use metrology instruments
* Must inspect parts per Customer drawing before running complete production, verifying dimensions per drawing for final inspection, and inform Shipping Manager for shipment and record daily log sheets
* Keep a daily record on final inspections and shipping process
* Assist operators when it is required
* Work accordingly with production to do plant wide calibration of gauges
* Verify non-conforming product, verify in process product as needed and verify correct Revision Information
* Properly fill out rejection tag for the rejected material/product
* Must have basic computer skills: Microsoft Office
* Ensure the company is meeting the standard codes in the manufacturing process
* Inspect incoming raw materials, mechanical parts, and subassemblies, mark and complete appropriate documentation
* Conduct a complete first piece inspection to ensure the process is correct before the production run begins when the control plan specifies it
* Perform in process inspection of all parts as required to assure adherence to specifications and procedures per router/Manufacturing Plan
* Conduct final inspection on the finished product to confirm all operations have been completed to Customer’s specification and assure that all required certifications and other documentation ae in place for shipment
* Maintain various inspection fixtures, and measuring devices, so appropriate measurements are made and documentation can be provided

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma / GED or one (1) Plus + years related experience and/or training

LANGUAGE SKILLS: BILINGUAL – ENGLISH/SPANISH
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business principals, technical procedures. Ability to write reports and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and general public.
Must have strong communication skills, strong listening skills and work well with others

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical reference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:
To define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram and concrete variables

PHYSICAL DEMANDS ALL DAY:
Person must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands & arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and have good eye vision. Person will be exposure to: wet or humid conditions (non-weather), work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions

WORK SCHEDULE: 1ST SHIFT
Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and available Saturday for OT pending on workload.
