We are currently hiring a Production Technician to work in our Apparel Department. This person would be working with a team of other Production Technicians to inspect products, fulfilling orders, preparing for embroidery and packing goods for shipping.
Inspects products to determine quality and adherence to work order specifications
Identifies workflow and process inefficiencies, recommend solutions to Management, and participate in resolutions
Manages the fulfillment of all pre-stitch apparel orders
Coordinates with Inventory Logistics Specialist to ensure stock levels of pre-stitch apparel is up-to-date and accurate
Manages on order with vendor audit
Receives all incoming raw goods shipments, examines merchandise for damage or defects, verifies shipment information against bill of lading, inputs required receiving data into system
Prepare goods for decorating/embroidery
Packs goods for shipping
Maintains a clean and organized workspace
Carry out basic quality control checks
Process overflow work for teams that need assistance meeting Service Level Expectations
Completes packaging tasks such as box assembly, packing, and taping
Analyze and understand project specifications and client’s needs before starting each embroidery project
Selects thread, fabric, hoops and designs appropriate for each project
Sets up machine and supervises embroidery process
Performs regular machine maintenance inspections
Works cooperatively with other team members to meet goals
Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude
Follows all safety protocols
Monitors daily/monthly audits
Be available for occasional overtime, including nights and weekends
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:
Strong understanding of Benson’s commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the production, apparel and shipping process.
Ability to understand and follow job instructions, both verbal and written.
Ability to adapt to multiple areas of apparel production.
Ability to work in a production environment in a safe and productive way.
Ability to meet company’s high quality control standards
Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
Ability to complete repetitive tasks

Education: Preferred high school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience: Preferred 2-3 years of apparel experience or machine operation experience
Working in a production environment
Regularly lifts and carries very heavy objects
Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and grasping
Standing for longer periods of time
Handling and assembling small parts
Vision abilities are required to confirm product accuracy
