We are looking to hire a Shift Leader / Hourly Supervisor with for our growing restaurant group in Los Angeles. This candidate will support management in day to day operations at our West Hollywood location.
Our managers and supervisors are the head coaches to our teams, they are essential to the daily success of our Pizzerias and are directly responsible for overseeing all front and back of house operations. Our managers are responsible for fostering a support and team driven management culture spear-headed by exceptional hands-on leadership, communication skills, detailed training, problem solving, and positivity. This candidate is a proactive thinker, a self starter and a well rounded restaurant professional. This position reports directly to the general and assistant general managers
Supervise the execution of regular service, catering, take-out, delivery and all on/off-site events
Place daily food / beverage, chemical & paper product orders. Submit and process monthly inventory.
Maintain the physical state of the restaurant by overseeing regular cleaning, side work and scheduling R&M related vendor calls. Maintain Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
Process employee tips & respond to Uber, Google & Yelp Reviews
Process and manage time-off requests
Respond and resolve any and all guest issues or concerns
Maintain food quality, recipe accuracy, and timely order fulfillment
Maintain superior customer service standards and build a relationship with the local community
Execute local catering orders and marketing campaigns
Foster a support and leadership driven team / management culture
Ensures all cash handling procedures are upheld. Is accountable for all store funds.
Consistently sets an example for all team members by adhering and enforcing policies.
1-2 years experience as a restaurant manager, shift lead or supervisor in a fast casual setting
Familiarity with Toast POS is a plus
Organized and detail-oriented, strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team of 15-20 people
Self Starter & proactive thinker. Possesses ability to make decisions quickly and under pressure.
Basic computer skills required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
Experience in analyzing P&L’s and managing Prime Costs is a huge plus
Previous experience as a manager or supervisor is required
Capable of working overtime, weekends, evenings, and special events as needed. 35-40 hours per week in-person at the restaurant is required
Expectation of solving scheduling challenges like call outs, covering open shifts and always making sure the pizzeria is left in a success driven state
Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations.
Current manager food handler’s card is a plus
SCHEDULE – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Closing. Open to rearranging schedule to allow 2 consecutive days off. Friday & Saturday late night availability required 7:30 PM – 3:30 AM (2 dollar per hour pay rate increase for these shifts.)
Physical Requirements & Working Environment
Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
