Mechanical Installation Technician

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Installation technician to be part of a team performing material handling installations nationwide. The technician will also support ASE’s service department as needed. This entry level position is open to individuals who possess or show the ability to learn the skills required of a Millwright. The position requires a flexible work schedule involving extensive traveling across the country.

The prime candidate will have experience welding, working with hand/ power tools and a basic
understanding of mechanical equipment. The candidate must be able to communicate verbally and
electronically with customers, contractors, crew members and ASE Project Managers.
Most importantly, the prime candidate must be convincing in his or her willingness to adhere to the safety requirements mandated by OSHA and all company safety policies.
Compensation will be dependent on previous work experience and as mentioned in this job listing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
● Safely use hand tools, power tools, welders, and specialty equipment as needed to perform
Mechanical installation of material handling equipment.
● Use of a computer, “Smart Phone” or “Tablet” to send and receive emails and documentation.
● Track and maintain company tools and material.
● Organize work area and cleaning of field materials and tooling.
● Follow Company Code of Conduct and Safety Policies at all times.
● Weld using an “Arc” or “Mig” electric or gas welder.
● Inspect and drive company service vehicles.
● Complete and submit all ASE and customer required documentation.
● Report directly to Mechanical Foreman
● Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues related to distribution equipment such as conveyors
and related components
● Maintain a safe working environment.

Job Requirements:
● Fulltime 40HR+ work week position.
● Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
● Regular attendance and punctuality to assigned schedule.
● Ability to travel nationwide for days/ weeks at a time.
● Possess a valid driver’s license, insurance and be eligible to be covered under company auto
insurance.
● Ability to perform tasks wearing required PPE.
● Ability to use Power tools such as but not limited to a grinder, Sawzall, band saw, drill, impact,
skill saw, hammer drill, etc.
● Be certified, or able to be certified to operate Fork Lift’s, Scissor lifts, Boom Lifts, and other
heavy equipment as required.
● Participate in and abide by all safety related programs, trainings and activities.
● Ability to use a computer, “Smart Phone”, or “Tablet” to send and receive emails.
● Possess a personal set of tools (List available).
● Complete and submit all ASE and customer required documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:
● High school diploma or educational equivalent. Technical schooling preferred.
● Previous electrical and/or mechanical knowledge a plus.
● Clean driving record and the ability to drive company vehicles.
● Pass background, drug screen and E-verify checks.
● Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others.
● Knowledge of other construction trades a plus.
● Organized and detail oriented.
● Strong work ethic.
● Self-starter, eager to learn and take on new tasks.
● “Arc” or “MiG” electric or gas welding experience. Certified welder a plus
