  • Deal making: Structure, negotiate, document, and manage transactions relating to live action scripted and unscripted programming, including engaging above-the-line talent (writers, producers, directors, and actors), acquiring underlying rights, commissioning content from production companies and licensing content produced by third parties.
  • Communication: Establish and maintain client relationships with Creative, Production, Finance, Marketing, PR, Brand Management, Acquisitions, Contract Admin, and Legal Affairs teams to move projects forward with concise, effective and timely communications concerning deal negotiation and business strategy.

  • Dedication to Improvement. Follow “best practices” and contribute towards improving deal parameters, deal memo templates, departmental process and procedures, as well as great ideas and creative problem solving on deals and projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in entertainment industry, television business affairs
  • Proven record as a skilled negotiator, with strong drafting abilities, exceptional communication skills, and creative problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of guild and union agreements, contracts, and intellectual property law.

  • Ability to thrive inside a large corporate structure while working independently within a team-oriented environment.

  • Strong business and financial acumen.

  • Candidates should have a JD and an active CA bar membership
