Early Childhood Educator (30 months to school age)


RPC Daycare is a licensed Daycare located in the heart of Richmond and is a ministry of the Richmond Pentecostal Church. We offer a play-based program and aim to provide a solid foundation that will help each child discover their value and equip them for life. Our team works together to provide a safe, secure, loving environment that is spiritually, emotionally, cognitively, and physically nurturing and age appropriate. We seek to provide excellent care for children and to model the Christian message to the children and their families. We are looking for a motivated, energetic individual to join our team as we work together to serve the families in our community. We are looking for someone who will:

• Work together with a team to plan and develop curriculum and implement a creative and fun program that is age appropriate
• Support children in their fine and gross motor skill development and recognize that each child learns differently and at their own pace
• Create meaningful relationships with children, parents, and staff
• Be flexible and work well with a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized environment
• Incorporate music and movement into the day and be willing to try new ideas and sing, laugh and play with the children, enjoying the small moments
• Plan creative activities and lessons that will stimulate the children’s learning while incorporating arts and crafts, stories and music
• Engage in facilitated and unfacilitated play both indoors and outdoors
• Actively supervise the children while supporting their learning taking time to guide their physical, cognitive, emotional and social development
• Be committed to following all Child Care Facility Licensing and legal requirements as well as the RPC Childcare Policy Manual and all related policies and procedures.

• Valid BC ECE License to Practice for Early Childhood Educators
• Valid First Aid Certification
• Must successfully clear a Criminal Record Check through the Criminal Record Review Program
• Must provide 3 References

Salary and benefits:
• Hourly wage based on experience plus an additional $4 ECEWE per hour (for the duration of RPC Childcare’s involvement in this program)
• 50% coverage of Benefit Plan costs. Benefit plan includes Medical, Dental, Life Insurance
