Counter Staff for Bakery

(Park Slope)

We are a small bakery located in the heart of Park Slope seeking candidates for a counter staff position. We’re looking for positive, energetic people who love dessert, great service and being a part of a team.

Principle Duties:
•Ensure customer satisfaction by handling counter transactions in a fast, efficient and friendly manner.
•Communicate clearly with each customer in a friendly and courteous way.
•Resolve customer problems with a sense of urgency.
•Accomplish all work assignments with excellence.
•Keep work station and other areas of the bakery neat and clean.
•Perform any extra assigned cleaning tasks around bakery.
•Answer phones when necessary and assisting with orders.
•Go on deliveries, store runs, or other errands when asked.

Physical demands and work environment:
•Position requires standing and walking for period of 5 or more hours without a rest break.
•Occasional moderate to heavy lifting and carrying, bending and reaching overhead may be required.
•Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, coworkers and management
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
•Follows policies and procedures
•Understands expectations of role and works within the boundaries of the role
•Maintain food safety standards, including identifying and eliminating health code violations and safety hazards.
•Arrive to work on time

compensation: $15.00 -$17.00
