Bookkeeper With Trust Accounting

(Burnaby (across from Metrotown))

We are a legal firm based in Burnaby directly across from Metrotown!

Three (3) must haves are:
1) Previously worked in a legal office
2) Worked on Quickbooks
3) Trust accounting

We are currently looking to bring onto our team a Bookkeeper.
We are a small office of 5-6 lawyers and we believe in teamwork and having fun while getting the job done! It’s not a overly busy position!

We are looking for someone responsible for our day-to-day process of keeping full and of course accurate up to date business records of our financial transactions. This would include purchases, income, receipts and payments by an individual and or organization.

Our ideal person would have experience working in a legal office with an understanding of trust accounting. We require that this can be handled without direction and in a timely fashion. Accuracy is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Day to day recording of all trust and general account transactions
* Small payroll done in Quickbooks
* Bank deposits
* Process bills
* Periodic overview of file balances
* Printing and distribution of cheques
* Data entry and posting
* Also other duties as required such as reception duties

QUALIFICATIONS
* Two (2) plus years working in a legal office
* Proficient in PCLaw
* Proficient in MS Office
* Highly organized and very detail oriented
* Strong verbal and written communications and outstanding customer service
* Able to work on your own with minimal supervision

Salary range: $65K – $75K based on experience.
